We’re Going to Costa Rica!

Last week, we posted about using travel deals such as TravelZoo Top 20, Luxury Link, and Living Social Escapes to help in planning a great honeymoon without paying the full cost.

Well, we listened to our own advice and picked up the Living Social Escape voucher for a 7-day/6-night trip to Costa Rica through LatinExplore.  Not only that, but we called up LatinExplore and told them it was our honeymoon and they extended the deal to SEVEN NIGHTS, and upgraded our hotels to ones that are more “romantic.”  There was an added cost for the upgrades, but it was still MUCH less than if we had planned and booked it all ourselves.

Our trip will include stops in three different towns and activities like whitewater rafting, hiking a volcano, a jungle canopy zip-line tour, and a half-day sea kayaking tour.  Add that to several days of rest and relaxation at a hotel on the beach, and you have the makings of a perfect honeymoon.  Not to mention, there are wild howler monkeys that live in the trees of one of our hotels!

If you are looking to plan a trip to Latin America, I highly recommend LatinExplore.  They were great to work with and willing to negotiate to get us a good deal.  They made great recommendations and took care of everything, including transfers between the 3 towns and travel to/from the airport!

I hope that this post makes you ALMOST as excited as we are!  It should be a lot of fun, and we’ll be sure to take lots of great photos and to share with the new fancy camera I got for Christmas!

When you’re in Costa Rica why don’t you try a couple “Honeymoon Spa” – something different & pretty unique in this wonderful romantic place, as I wrote about at
