Man Cave March Madness

2011 March 14

To prove that Katy and I have a life that extends beyond wedding planning and brewing beer for the wedding, we decided it would be fun to set up a NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket Challenge and invite all of our friends, family, fans and followers to join us in the challenge.2011 Final Four NCAA Tournament Logo

So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to win the “Man Cave March Madness Bracket Challenge,” (you don’t have to be a man to play) then join our sign up on by signing up here:  They make it easy because you don’t have to even create an account – you can sign in using your existing Facebook account.

Once you’ve signed up, you can join our group:

Password: simplybeginning

I have also decided that to the winner shall go the spoils – and I’m not just talking about bragging rights.  Winner will get a 6-pack of pre-release Wedding Ale!  Obviously this is for local pick-up/delivery only.  If someone wins that is not local, we’ll figure out a suitable prize for you at that point, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

So let the games begin.  Spread the word – brackets must be turned in BEFORE the start of the (real) first round game.

Good Luck!

It is interesting that the 2011 Final Four logo closely resembles the NASA logo. I wonder if the event being hosted in Houston (home of Johnson Space Center) has anything to do with that.

I’m sure that’s it. I definitely thought of you when I first saw the logo, Jim. I mean, what else could they put on the logo for Huston? They can’t put cattle, because then it would look biased towards the Texas Longhorns, who are in the tournament. There are no teams with an astronaut mascot, so they went with that.

And thennn, everyone who was loyal to UNC had a terrible bracket. Dangit.
